"Angry Birds Star Wars II" is getting some new characters and borrowing the voices of some old ones. "Angry Birds" developer, Rovio have spared no expense in the promotion of the new game, they have included the voice of Star Wars actor, Ian McDiarmid. McDiarmid, who plays Emperor Palpatine, is now the voice of the pig Emperor in a new "Join the Pork Side" trailer. McDiarmid also signed a few "Join the Pork Side" posters that will be given away to followers of the Angry Birds Twitter account, so keep your eyes open for this.
In the new trailer, three new playable characters for "Angry Birds Star Wars II" have been revealed. All three characters belong to the "pork" side of the force in this pig vs. bird version of Star Wars. The first new character is fighter pilot that has the ability to shoot double laser blasts, next is the bounty hunter, Zam Wesell from "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones." Wesell uses a hook to fling items around and cause destruction in game. The last new character reveal is Droideka, a rolling battle droid from "Star Wars Episode I: Phantom Menace," it can bounce and roll through the game.
With the release of the game less than a month away, fans can expect to view many new trailers this month and into mid-September.
