Tonight was elimination night on “American Idol.” We would find out who would be going home and who would be part of the coveted top 5. The night was just like any other elimination night.

Ryan called Caleb Johnson, Sam Woolf and CJ Harris to the stage. The first person announced safe was Sam. Caleb was also safe. CJ Harris was the first to be in the bottom two.

Up next Jena Irene, Alex Preston and Jessica Meuse learned their fate. The next person safe was Jena. Alex was also safe. Jessica completed the bottom two. CJ and Jessica awaited their fate. CJ was sent home.
