American Idol
The Final 6 contestants of "American Idol" Americanidol.com

The "American Idol" Final 6 performed two songs each Wednesday night. One they wish they'd written and one by the legendary songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Let's break it down, contestant by contestant.

Angie Miller's first song was "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and while to it was easy listening, the performance was boring and life-less. All four judges agreed that the performance was pleasant but boring. Keith Urban believed that the performance was "missing humanity" and Mariah thought Angie needed to practice enunciation. For her second performance, Angie sang "Love Came Down." This is the moment when Angie really shined. She sang this Christian anthem from behind the piano and outright killed it. Unlike her first song, her second song held emotion and intensity.

Next lets talk about Amber Holcomb and her unbelievable performances. Amber sang "Say A Little Prayer" with an undeniably Whitney-esque tone. Like the judges, I found her performance fantastic. We saw Nicki Minaj "bow down" and state that Amber was her favorite female out of the Final 6, while Randy Jackson said that believes that "Amber has arrived" following her performance.

For her second performance, Amber tackled "Love on Top" by Beyoncé. That was such a departure from her normal songs, and I loved the change. I found the performance fun and amazing. While Mariah doesn't love the vocals, the other three judges seem more than pleased by the bright and fun performance.

Next is Lazaro Arbos who, honestly, was just awful. He sang "Close To You" but it was not a good adaptation. He attempted to change the key but it was unsuccessful. Randy cannot even hold in his displeasure, the normally composed judge comments, and "No, no, no, no that was horrible." And Lazaro's second song is almost worse. He sang "Angels" and the performance is just so awkward that Nicki doesn't even critique his performance.

Kree Harrison was next and sang "What the World Needs Now is Love." I am sorry for the harshness, but she is not an "American Idol." She is boring, and yes, she has a lovely voice, but there is little else to accompany her good voice. While the judges praised the performance, I just didn't see the connection. She never inspires the crowd or the audience at home. As for her second performance, she sang, "Help Me Make it Through the Night" and truthfully it really was a beautiful vocal performance and displayed her raw-natural ability.

Janelle Arthurs performance of "Ill Never Fall in Love Again" was so boring, even the judges agreed with Randy, calling the performance "lackluster." Again in her second performance, Janelle sang "The Dance." Her vocals and performance overall simply fell way short in the competition. It was mediocre at best.

And last but absolutely not least was the fantastic Candice Glover. Her first song was "Don't Make Me Over" and really she proved that she was born to be a singer. Candice took a classic and enhanced it with her style and spin. But the most stunning moment of the night came during Candice's second performance when she sang "Love Song." Wow! Just wow, this performance is truly breathtaking and gives you chills. Randy sums it up for all four judges.

"One of the greatest performances in the history of 'American Idol,"' and it really was!
