Tonight at 6 p.m. America faces Cruz Azul in week 14 of the Clausura 2014. The Eagles beat Guadalajara 4-0 and now they face the “Machine” in a match of two of the most popular teams of the league and the country. Cruz Azul is first in the standings with 29 points and comes off a loss against Atlas.
If America wins, the victory would give them 26 points and would be placed third on the standings with a ticket to the playoffs as there are only three weeks left of the regular season.
Luis Gabriel Rey, America’s striker, said, “It was only one game, something more important is coming because it is a rival that knows how to play futbol, beating them would put us one step closer to the playoffs and they are the leaders.”
