Rumors said that Amber Heard is resorting to extreme measures such as joining OnlyFans to pay the money she owes Johnny Depp.
If Heard decides to use the $2 million she obtained in her countersuit to reduce the $10.35 million in damages she must pay Depp, she will still owe him $8.35 million. The actress was only awarded the sum when the jury determined that Adam Waldman, Depp's former lawyer, had made false accusations against her.
On June 20, a TikTok post claimed that the actress had opened an account on OnlyFans. As celebrities look to monetise their NSFW photographs, they continue to sign up for the platform.
There are also musicians and fitness professionals on the website.
In the video that TikToker user @meachreacts21 posted, Heard is credited with "doing the impossible."
"So recently, Amber Heard was spotted shopping ta TJ Maxx... and the reason this is impossible is because people are wondering why she's shopping at TJ Maxx when she's worth negative $6 million," the user said, per Marca. "And guess how much the subscription is? $6 million. And guess who's supporting this? Travis Scott!"
However, the user that the rapper ultimately canceled his subscription and received a refund.
To "prove" his assertions, the TikTok user also uploaded screenshots. But it was refuted right away.
Animated Times, citing fact checkers, discovered that the TikTok video merely displayed an OnlyFans page that had no connection to Heard.
Twitter is one of those venues where the rumors have already propagated. However, none could offer support for a false claim.
Although her OnlyFans report was false, people did see her shopping at the outlet mall.
Heard was pictured in the Hamptons by the New York Post. Heard, who was simply sporting a basic blouse and trousers for the occasion, appeared to be in real financial trouble, just as her attorney Elaine Bredehoft had claimed.
For what it's worth, the attorney admitted to the "TODAY" show that Heard would be unable to pay the millions of dollars in damages.
Fans, however, were persuaded that she made up her TJ Maxx purchases to win people over.
According to a person who spoke to Radar Online, Heard freely distributed the "paparazzi" pictures.
"There is a tell-tale sign on both sets of images that to me, seemingly raise more questions than providing headlines! If these images were taken by a paparazzo, the paparazzo or the paparazzo's employer would be desperate to have their byline attached to the sets to get additional sales from media outlets," one said.
