Earlier this week, Alejandro Sanz made headlines worldwide for stopping his concert in Mexico and helping a woman in the audience who was being attacked. Many news outlets admired Sanz's heroic action, which was even praised on social media by Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas. Following the mishap, Sanz traveled to Chile, where he crooned his South American fans at the renowned music festival "Viña del Mar." Fortunately, the Spanish singer encountered only happy moments at the event.

Sanz kicked off the 2016 event walking from the middle of audience to the stage, where he began his nearly two-hour long showcase with his 2000 hit "Quisiera Ser." He then kept the audience on their feet and singing at the top of their lungs, with his massive hit songs such as "La Musica No Se Toca," "Amiga Mia," "Desde Cuando," "No Me Compares," and "No Es Lo Mismo." His concert was also filled with many duets, including one with Spanish singer and former Mecano member, Ana Torroja, with whom he sang "Zombie Al Intemperie."

Although it was a great night for Sanz and his Chilean fans, the Internet was quick to call out the moment Sanz invited local artist Javiera Mena to sing "Corazon Partio" because she butchered the song by forgetting the lyric. Despite the awkward moment, it was a great night for Sanz and the Viña del Mar Festival. Check out all of the highlights below!
