Aldo Sarabia, a member of the popular Banda El Recodo was found dead early this morning after being missing for over a week. Authorities found the late musicians body in the community of El Recodo, in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. Earlier today, reports indicated that the body presented torture-like marks and a gunshot wound in the neck. Being that the state of Sinaloa is heavily hit by violence, organized crime groups were suspected of being involved. But the latest development in the investigation is extremely shocking: Sarabia’s wife and a fellow member of the band have been arrested as the first two, and prime suspects of the crime.
The three are suspected to have been in a love triangle, which has not yet been confirmed. In the meantime while the criminal investigation continues, the band has expressed their deepest sympathies and devastation. Banda El Recodo released the following statement: “Aldo Sarabia was a great friend and father. A person with a great sense of humor, and a musician who dominated harmonies and percussions. A human being with extraordinary qualities.”
The band continued by thanking the authorities for finding Sarabia so quickly, even though the news was devastating. “Aldo, even though we’re devastated for your loss, life needs us to continue being strong and find some sense of relief in the beautiful moments we shared with you.”
It is uncertain at this time if the band is aware of their fellow member’s arrest, as well as Sarabia’s wife’s. No statement has been released on the matter as the investigation continues.
