Aislinn Derbez thinks Televisa is “old fashion” and “ridiculous.” Last week, during the red carpet of Premios Ariel, Aislinn and her boyfriend Mauricio Ochmann were interviewed by the cameras of Televisa. The day after the ceremony, daytime show “Hoy” aired the interview where you hear the two of them talking about their first year together as boyfriend and girlfriend, but you never see Ochmann in the shot. Apparently, Televisa decided to leave the actor out of frame because he works for a different network, Telemundo.

Eugenio Derbez’ daughter expressed her feeling towards the situation on her Twitter account: “It’s absurd that @Televisa interviews me next to @MauOchmann and that he gets his face cut off because he is not from the enterprise, which is ridiculous and disrespectful.”

When she was confronted about the situation, she mentioned that these types of measures were only used by Televisa: “There are no other networks (in México) that do that, they are the only ones, that’s why I said it. All the other networks are more open-minded.”

When she was asked if she was mad about the situation she continued, “I just spoke my mind, it’s not even worth to be upset about it, I just wanted people to notice because I think it is a very ‘old-fashioned’ subject. We are in a time where these types of things shouldn’t be happening. This is one of the thousand examples that affect freedom of speech.”

Derbez finalized by saying that she doesn’t fear that Televisa ends up attacking her because she doesn’t work for the network.
