Oh the things we do when we're in love! Like getting a tattoo of your significant other's name so you two will be together forever. Or at least until you break up and then go through an extremely painful procedure to remove from your body anything that reminds you of your ex.
Adrienne Bailon sure knows a thing or two about that, since she's currently in the process of getting her ex's name removed from her butt. The former Cheetah Girl was chatting about bad tattoos with co-stars Tamar Braxton, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Loni Love on their new talk show, The Real, which began its four-week test run on Fox on July 15, and she admitted to having her own regrets.
"I've gotten pretty bad tattoos before," she told her co-hosts. "Everybody knows I have the ratchet-iest booty tattoo of an ex-boyfriend. I don't know what I was thinking."
That ex-boyfriend she's referring to is none other than reality TV star Rob Kardashian, whom she dated from 2007 to 2009. During their relationship, the couple, who appeared together on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" a number of times, took the somewhat permanent step of solidifying their love for one another by tattooing each other's names on their bodies.
Rob got "Adrienne E Bailon" inked on his ribcage, while Adrienne got Rob's rather lengthy moniker inscribed on her booty.
"Ten letter last name: Kardashian. It's pretty bad," she told her co-stars, adding that the full inscription reads, "Robert A Kardashian."
Despite saying she made tattoo artist Mister Cartoon shrink the text as small as possible, it is still a pretty visible reminder of her failed relationship.
Adrienne also revealed she's going through the unpleasant process of having it removed. "You go through that process! It does not feel good. You can smell your flesh burning, and it's ass flesh burning!" she cringed.
"It is the most painful thing in my life," she told the Daily News. "But I didn't remove it sooner because I was told to go to someone good or I'd have a horrible scar."
"It's worse if I had a third degree burn on my a**" she added. "Now I found someone who specializes on women of color and I have two more sessions before I'm done."
Adrienne addressed her show's viewers and advised them not to follow her example on that. "I made a very bad decision. Don't follow my example. Booty tattoos, names of other men - ratchet. Don't do it!"
