Adrián Uribe was one more victim of organized crime in México. A couple of days ago, the Mexican comedian wrote on his Twitter account: “To those who are asking me about what happened yesterday we are ok, it was just the scare. Thank you Tijuana’s police for your valuable intervention.” Some of Uribe’s fans asked what had happened, but the actor didn’t reveal any more details of the event on the social networking service.

Almost a week later, “El Vítor” opened up about the horrible experience him and his entourage had to go through while they were travelling in Tijuana, México. According to TVnotas, Marjorie de Sousa’s beau had to pay 20,000 USD to a random caller that claimed to have kidnapped one of his entourage members.

“They called my manager, I called him, woke him up. They told him: ‘Listen, it’s going to be 10,000 USD, make the deposit in cash to these two bank accounts in 2 hours. We already have one of the people that were travelling with you’, and my manager told him: ‘Put him through.’” Uribe told the Mexican publication.

After agreeing on the amount, the delinquents decided to duplicate it at the last minute and asked for a total of 20,000 USD to release the person they had with them. They spent 7 horrifying hours dealing with these people before finally making the deposit to their bank accounts.

“They asked to double the amount, we made the deposit, but this was from 6 AM to 1 PM, just imagine, we already had spent 7 hours of anguish and scared. They called us from the lobby: ‘the police is here, don’t go out, and don’t worry.’”

Uribe and his team are safe and sound but unfortunately, he is not the only celebrity who has been a victim of delinquency in México.
