Adamari López and family are enjoying some time off in the beautiful Puerto Rico. The “Un Nuevo Día” host took her daughter Alaïa to the Island for the first time next to partner Toni Costa. The happy family arrived to PR on Monday night and according to sources, they are there for a very special reason.
During an interview with TV show “Lo Sé Todo,” Adamari shared that she had two special reasons to make this trip. One, she will pay tribute to her dad, Luis López who passed away last February, during a ceremony that she organized next to her brothers. And two, she confessed her cousin, who is a Priest, will officiate a Baptism ceremony for her daughter Alaïa. She also revealed her brother Adalberto and her niece Dilmarie will be the baby’s Godparents during the Catholic ritual.
She also told the TV show that while they were vacationing in Spain, they also had a small ceremony with Toni’s family, “We were in Spain, and we had a ‘blessing’ ceremony too.” The Costa-López clan recently travelled to Toni’s homeland, which was Alaïa’s first trip overseas, and where she had the chance to meet some of the dancer’s family members including her great grandmother “Goya.”
López, who has been on maternity leave for almost 6 months, will be back to “Un Nuevo Día” on July 6.
