ABC is cancelling five TV series: "Happy Endings," ''Body of Proof," "Malibu Country," "How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life," and "Red Widow."
However, "Happy Endings," which would have been going into its fourth season may find a new home on cable, with talks of moving it to the USA Network. Although the show received much acclaim during its run, it only managed to draw a small but committed crowd. The network even moved it to a different night to try and bolster viewing but in the end that still wasn't enough to save the show.
Other than "Happy Endings" and "Body of Proof," which have both been running for three seasons, the other shows that were cancelled were relatively new. There had been previous rumors that ABC might not extend the shows "Nashville" or "Revenge," but as of this report, neither have been announced as canceled.
Among the shows announced as renewed for the ABC network are "Scandal," "Grey's Anatomy," "Castle," and the fairytale drama/adventure series, "Once Upon a Time."
