9-Year-Old Killed By Intruder: Police In California Looking For The Man Who Stabbed The Girl In Her Home

Police in California are looking for a man who broke into a Valley Springs home and ran off after stabbing a 9-year-old girl Sunday morning.

According to a police statement, a 12-year-old boy and his sister were in their home when the man broke in. The boy ran to call his parents, who then called 911.

Upon his return, he discovered that his sister had been stabbed multiple times.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A neighbor claims to have seen the suspect fleeing the scene.

The man police are looking for is described as possibly white or Latino, approximately 6 feet tall with a muscular build and longer gray hair. He was seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

Police told the LA Times that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
