As the date for the 72nd annual Miss Universe gets closer, the organization announced that, for the second time, there will be an all female team hosting the event.
On Tuesday, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) revealed that Olivia Culpo and Jeannie Mai Jenkins will be returning as hosts alongside Maria Menounos, who will be hosting for the first time. Adding on the powerful female leading team are Zuri Hall and former Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, who will be hosting as backstage correspondents.
This female leading team will be hitting the stage live on November 18th from El Salvador through Roku.
Telemundo will also be streaming the competition live. Jacqueline Bracamontes and Danilo Carrera will return as hosts for the evening in the network. Joining them will be Carlos Adyan, Julia Gama, and former Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza, who will be providing the backstage content.
The final competition day will hold a performance by the artist John Legend.
With just less than two weeks before the event, the contestants have already landed in El Salvador and are prepping. "The 72nd Miss Universe Pageant will be held in magical El Salvador, a shining jewel in Latin America. This truly global event of 2023 brings together over 90 Miss Universe delegates vying for the prestigious crown. Prepare to be immersed in the vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and captivating beauty of El Salvador along with premium views of the Pageant itself," states the MUO.
November 15th and 16th kicks off the preliminary competition and the national costume show. These early rounds can be viewed by purchasing virtual tickets – $5 each – through Miss Universe Live Bash.
