Tonight Univision premieres their new talent search competition called "Va Por Ti." Hosted by Galilea Montijo the twist to this show is that each singing hopeful will choose a captain to join. Each captain will coach them every week to bring out their talent and shine. During each gala, each singer will be tested by showing their growth and abilities in front of three judges that will be hard on them. At the end of the competition only one captain will coach a singer to become the next Latin superstar. "Va Por Ti" starts tonight at 8pm ET/PT and these are the reasons to watch it:
1. Galilea Montijo As Host: The Mexican beauty has hosted some of Univision's biggest Sunday shows like "Pequeños Gigantes," "Buscando a Timbiriche" and "Hazme Reir." Montijo has hosting chops and knows how to handle any type of situation live in front of an audience. Galilea also hosts the daily morning show "Hoy" and having a familiar face on a new show is always a plus. 2. Dulce María: The former RBD star has been laying low and we last saw her in a special guest spot on "Mentir Para Vivir." Learning a lot from her experience traveling around the world with the famous pop band, Dulce will bring all of that experience to the hopefuls. With her sensibility to youth she will bring a spark to the show.
3. Alejandra Guzmán Back As Judge: The rocker was a judge on the first season of "Mira Quien Baila" and she was a firecracker. Always controversial, she left the show after a faulty surgery and was soon replaced. During her time on the dancing competition she did not hold back and gave feedback that helped the contestants grow. With singing being part of her life she will bring her years of experience and add prestige to the show. 4. Jencarlos Canela: The "Mi Corazón Insiste" heartthrob has joined "Va Por Ti" as a captain and who wouldn't want to be in his team? The dreamy singer will bring his charm and singing skills to all the contestants. 5. Public Decides: The best part of all is that the viewing public will decide who stays and who leaves with their votes. Tell us why you're excited to watch "Va Por Ti" starting tonight?
