The MTV EMAs 2014 are from Glasgow, Scotland this year and everything is set up to be one of the craziest nights in music. Hosted by Nicki Minaj, the award show will honor the best in music in the singular and original way only MTV can do. We are excited to see our favorite celebrities walk down the arrivals in their best and most extravagant outfits. These are the 5 main reasons you should watch the MTV EMAs this year! 1. Enrique Iglesias Performance: Our beloved Spanish singer will represent Latinos around the world with a performance that will surely sizzle. The "Bailando" hitmaker has been touring around the world and will make a pitstop in Europe to continue making hearts happy. We can't wait to see what show he puts on.
2. The Worldwide Act Award: It's a long shot, but we are crossing our fingers that Dulce María wins this award. The former RBD singer is representing Latinos in this category that pits acts from around the world. Fans have total control of who wins this accolade by tweeting and it would be a big hit for Latinos if our own Dulce takes home the prize. 3. Fifth Harmony Show: The girls of Fifth Harmony are also nominated for the Worldwide Act award representing the U.S. Three of the five members have Latin roots, so we are claiming them as Latinas. The "X Factor" finalists will be performing live from Miami during a special MTV EMA pre-show for the states. Their new single "Sledgehammer" will surely make everyone stand up and dance.
4. Ozzy Osbourne: The Prince of Darkness will receive the Global Icon award for his career in music. We can't wait to see what words come out of his mouth and hopefully his family is there to support him. 5. U2 Live Performance: The group has been confirmed to play in Glasgow and turn it up. Other artists confirmed to play are Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Alicia Keys. The festivities will begin airing at 2pm ET and we will have the lowdown on what your favorite artists wore and who won. The broadcast for the U.S. will be delayed with a special presentation starting at 7pm ET. The half-hour pre-show will have live performances from Fifth Harmony, Jake Miller and Nick Jonas from Miami. Starting at 7:30pm ET the main event starts from Scotland with all the winners of the EMAs.
