5 Possible Characters Rosario Dawson Can Play In Netflix's ‘Daredevil’ Series

Rosario Dawson has been confirmed as a new cast member for the Marvel, Netflix series "Daredevil." Her character is described as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."

Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of TV, praised Dawson in a statement saying, “Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Marvel’s Daredevil."

While Marvel is keeping tight lipped on who Dawson will play Loeb revealed her role is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil. With that bit of knowledge we compiled a list of possible characters she can play in the series.

1. Elektra -- Originally played by Jennifer Garner in the film adaptation of "Daredevil" and "Elektra" she is a love interest of Daredevil, but her violent nature and mercenary lifestyle ultimately divide the two.

2. Maya Lopez -- Echo also known as Ronin is a deaf superhero, she is easily recognizable by a white hand print which covers most of her face. Daredevil fights Lopez and convinces her not to murder her father, because she was being manipulated by the Kingpin.

3. Milla Donovan -- In the 2000s, Matt Murdock marries a woman named Milla Donovan who is also blind. It would make a nice romance story although one of Daredevil's enemies drives her to insanity.

4. Night Nurse -- The character Linda Carter who takes up the name Night Nurse is known for her willingness to help injured superheroes. While not known by many Night Nurse has played a role in many different Marvel comics such as "Daredevil," "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage" and more. Those of which previously mentioned will be coming to Netflix with their own series. So It wouldn't be too far fetched to see Rosario Dawson play Night Nurse.

5. Karen Page -- She is Matt Murdock and his law partner Franklin "Foggy" Nelson's secretary. Page is a mutual love interest to both Murdock and Foggy and if the series follows the comics then she will have a primary role in Netflix "Daredevil."

Dawson joins Charlie Cox who will play the masked vigilante Matt Murdock aka Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as the villain Wilson "The Kingpin" Fisk. "Daredevil" will premiere sometime in 2015, and is scheduled to start shooting in New York City this summer.
