Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana is a legend in San Francisco.

Guiding the San Francisco 49ers to 4 Super Bowl titles in his career, Montana was the definition of a champion, becoming a star instantaneously following a solid career at the University of Notre Dame.

San Francisco will see another Montana throwing the pigskin around Candlestick Park on Wednesday. According to CSN Bay Area, Joe Montana's son Nate will participate at a local pro day in front of 49ers coaches and scouts.

Nate Montana had a nomadic collegiate career as he spent time with 4 different football programs, starting at his father's alma mater and finishing at West Virginia Wesleyan. In his lone season as quarterback at Division II WV-Wesleyan, Montana threw for over 2,000 yards and totaled double figures in passing touchdowns.

The 23-year-old competed at an NFL Regional Combine last week at Cowboys Stadium and received mixed reviews regarding his performance.

Even though he did perform well during his final season as a college athlete, it is not expected that Montana will be one of the quarterbacks selected in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Attempting to follow in his father's footsteps is a great move to attempt and while he has had moments of solid arm strength and above average footwork, don't count on a second Montana suiting up anytime soon in the NFL.
