A 4-Year-Old Asked His Dad to Leave After He Began Arguing With His Mom. The Father Returned And Allegedly Shot the Family

A young boy in Baltimore was allegedly shot and killed by his own father on Christmas morning for making a simple request.

Promyss Marcelle was in bed with her son, Jacobi, 4, and 1-year-old daughter when the children's father, Mark Jones, entered the room and began arguing with Marcelle. The couple's son then asked Jones to leave, CBS News reported.

Jones left the room but returned with a gun. He then allegedly shot both children and Marcelle before turning the gun on himself.

The three victims were transferred to a nearby hospital where Jacobi later died from a gunshot wound to the head. His sister, who suffered a gunshot to her shoulder, and mother, shot in her back, are expected to survive.

Jones's mother reportedly FaceTimed him after the shooting and saw he was bleeding from the face. He then told her he "couldn't take it anymore." He also survived his injuries, according to CBS, though no additional details were provided.

Jones was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder, KBTX reported.

Marcelle created a GoFundMe to cover her son's funeral costs, which she welcomed anyone and everyone to attend.

"I want everyone to come even if I don't know you. I just want my son to know how much his mom pushed for him and his mom loved him," she told CBS News.
