We can all argue, saying that maybe Meghan was never given a fair chance. From her personal family drama being made public to the tabloids attacking her, she has been portrayed under an unflattering light ever since Prince Harry introduced her to the public as his girlfriend. But, that being said, there are also a plethora of people who shower their love on her. So, why is it that the Brits think Meghan and Harry are a negative influence on the people?
According to Express, a major study has revealed that 25 percent of Brits say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a negative influence on the people. Maybe, it's because of their recent ITV documentary where Meghan revealed that she had been struggling, and Prince Harry confirmed the rift between the brothers. Not everyone was a fan of their candid confessions.
Also, with the tabloids coming up with a juicy yet negative piece about the couple every now and then, it is easy to get swayed and believe whatever has been printed.
But, the good news is that almost 34 percent of Britishers think the Sussexes are a positive influence, whereas 42 percent were neutral about the royal couple.
The study was conducted by WPP media agency, called the Mindshare in the UK. And, this study says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle come after the Queen, Kate and Prince William. The polls were lenient on the older royals.
It is also reported that almost 52 percent of people favored the Queen and believed that she had a positive impact on the country. And, just a little behind her were Kate and William, with 51 percent of people believing that they were a positive influence, whereas merely 10 percent of people thought the couple had a negative impact.
The research also studied various public figures and their influence on the country. Their findings also suggest that political organizations must work hard to make sure they get back the public’s trust. The Head of Research and Insights of Mindshare, Julia Ayling, said, “The people are looking for organizations and figures they can respect and who can lead us in the right direction.”
