The new 2014 Scion tC will unveil at the 2013 New York Auto Show on Thursday, March 28, at 9:55 a.m.
Scion, a young entry-level brand of Toyota, introduced the industry changing FR-S sports car at last year's New York International Auto Show. A new model that has shifted the brand's attention from its most popular tC, Scion sold as little as just 15,204 units of the tC in 2010, a significant dip from selling as many as 79,125 in 2006.
Beyond the FR-S, the Scion tC is desperately fighting for attention from within its segment as well. new South Korean compact coupes including the Kia Forte Koup and the Hyundai Veloster are attractive alternatives to the outgoing Scion tC. Not ready to hand the market over without a fight, the new 2014 Scion tC will boast a new design that takes from the Scion halo FR-S.
You'll see family resemblance of the FRS coming over to the tC," said senior vice president of automotive operations at Toyota's U.S. Bob Carter, "but you'll still see about $5,000 difference."
