Two planes clipped eachother Wednesday night at Newark-Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on Thursday, causing damage to both airplanes. At about 7:30 pm, the FAA reported that a jetliner carrying Scandinavian Airlines Flight 908 from Newark to Oslo, Norway made contact with ExpressJet Flight 4226 bound for Nashville, Tenn. while taxiing on the runway.

The Scandinavian flight was in line behind the ExpressJet waiting to get clearance for takeoff from air traffic control. The Scandinavian Airlines plane attempted to make a right turn onto another runway and in the process the plane's left wing clipped the tail of the ExpressJet flight in front of it, causing damage to both airplanes.

No passengers or crew were injured in the collision, but the ExpressJet flight had to be towed back to the gate while the Scandinavian flight taxied back on its own.
