17-Year-Old Boy Kills His Pregnant School Teacher To End Their Affair

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for murder on Sunday, July 3, after he allegedly stabbed his pregnant school teacher to death in an attempt to cut off their illicit affair in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The victim, a 30-year-old pregnant government school teacher, was allegedly having an extramarital affair with the underage suspect, who lived in her neighborhood. Recently, the boy started having doubts about their relationship and wanted to sever ties with the teacher because he was worried about his reputation. However, the teacher reportedly didn’t want to end their relationship and pressured him to continue their affair, News18 reported.

On June 1, the boy allegedly went to the victim's house while she was alone and, in a fit of rage, stabbed her to death. After killing the woman, the boy broke the lock of a cupboard in the victim's room and also took off with US$633 (50,000 Indian Rupees) and other valuables to make the crime scene look like a robbery gone wrong and mislead the police.

“The boy wanted to end the relationship with his teacher because he was worried about his reputation. The woman, however, didn’t want this and was pressuring him to continue the relationship," Ayodhya Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Pandey said.

“The accused went to the woman’s house and killed her with a rod," he continued.

After an investigation that spanned over a month, the boy was arrested for the murder on Sunday, July 3, and will be presented before a juvenile justice board.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a man has been accused of brutally strangling his girlfriend to death for reportedly pressuring him to marry her in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, India, Latin Times reported.

The accused, a 21-year-old man, was reportedly having an affair with the 19-year-old victim, a 12th-grade school student. On June 4, while she was returning home from her school, the suspect allegedly took her to a hotel on his bike.

While the couple spent time at the hotel, the victim reportedly exerted some pressure on the accused to marry her. This led to a heated argument between the couple during which, in a fit of rage, the accused strangled the woman to death. After strangling her to death, the accused took her body to his native Athwariwala village and buried her next to a drain with the help of a friend.

On Friday, June 24, the police officers picked up the accused for questioning. When the man was interrogated about his involvement in the death, he allegedly confessed to his crime.
