Don't be expecting prices like McDonalds when visiting Australian restaurant 4Fourteen, as the restaurant features a $120 bacon egg sandwich.
Created by head chef Carla Jones, to commemorate Bacon Week, the restaurant will feature the $120 egg sandwich for a limited time: one week.
The expensive sandwich is reportedly worth the money, as it is made of award-winning bacon from Slade Point Meat Specialists in Mackay, Queensland, a pan-fried duck egg, semi-dried and smoked gourmet truss tomatoes, duck foie gras, caviar, creme fraiche, shaved truffles, English cheddar, and a handmade brioche bun. The decadent $120 egg sandwich comes with a side of chips with shaved truffle aioli.
"It's not something I ever thought I'd be doing but it will be interesting to see how many we'll sell," said Jones. "I reckon some people will buy it just to see what it's like. I'm not sure I'd eat it - I'm not that into truffles and stuff like that."
If you're shocked by the price of this $120 bacon egg sandwich, then be prepared to be a little more frightened with four other expensive dishes:
1. $750 Cupcake
