Who among us can say they never parked illegally while running errands? Most of us are in a rush and that one time we decide to park someplace we shouldn't there is a cop or a ticket waiting for us when we get back.

So what do you do when you see a police officer breaking those same laws you would get a ticket for? You get video evidence and ask for his badge number. At least that is what 12-year-old Jeremy Drew did when he saw a cop parked illegally and called him out on it.

The "junior lawyer" as the offending cop referred to the 12-year-old as, walked up to the officer after seeing the man park his motorcycle on the side walk. The 12-year-old calls out the cop asking,

"Is there a reason for you to park on the side walk, is it like an emergency or anything?"

The voice of the cop is difficult to make out but it seems like he is telling the 12-year-old he was just stopping for a drink. The officer had a large beverage in his hand. Huffington Post says the called out cop replied, "Because I can."

Whatever answer the cop gave was not good enough for 12-year-old Jeremy Drew he asked the policeman if he could see his badge number.

"Why," the cop asked.

"Uh, because I have the right to," Drew replied calling the cop out on his illegal parking job.

"You do huh?" The cop asked with a touch of sarcasm in his voice.

Drew kept asking the cop for his badge number but the officer refused. The 12-year-old called out the cop saying he didn't think it was necessary for the police officer to park a "motorized vehicle" on the sidewalk when there was no emergency.

The cop did not give up his badge number started his motorcycle and drove away. The original video of the 12-year-old calling out the cop was first posted on YouTube in September of 2012. Recently the video went viral with over 3 million views.
