The Internet's love of bacon may not be so crazy after all.

Pearl Cantrell, who recently turned 105 and spent much of her life doing physical labor, said she doesn't feel as old as she is. She attributes this to one thing: bacon.

"I love bacon, I eat it everyday," she said of her secret to longevity.

The mother of seven is beloved in her community, with her birthday party extending over three days with more than 200 guests, the Huffington Post reported.

When Oscar Meyer found out of her passion for the pork product after a news story on her secret aired, the company sent one of its Weinermobiles to her home to celebrate her birthday. In addition, she got a free ride around town and a case of bacon.

Her story and cruise around town also made it on KHOU, a local CBS affiliate.

We've seen a lot of stories on the road, but nothing quite like this one, so we're excited to be here," an Oscar Meyer spokesperson said. "We know she's an inspiration. Pearl is an inspiration for the community, and her friends and family. So we had to make a special stop here for her today."

As far as her claims of bacon-related youth go, it may not be as farfetched as it sounds.

Despite bacon's bad reputation, a recent study published by the University of Zurich found that eating little to no red meat could be bad for your health, according to the Atlantic. However, over-consumption of bacon poses a greater risk for bowel cancer and a higher rate of mortality.

Cantrell, who is from Richland, TX, said she still dances after all these years and will continue to keep bacon as a mainstay in her diet.

"I could eat it for every meal -- and I do!" she said.
