It has been revealed that HBO will be introducing a new villain named Mr. Gus on the seventh and final season of “True Blood.” While the name Gus is prominently attributed to “Breaking Bad” as meth villain and chicken king, Gustavo “Gus” Fring, this is a completely new bad guy for the gang in Bon Temps.
E! News reports that Mr. Gus is a “Japan native who has fully embraced the ‘everything’s bigger in Texas’ way of living.” The character is said to have a “lavish, southern lifestyle” … and is out for revenge.
Revenge of who is the question. No description or background has been revealed about Mr. Gus so we are still in the dark on who did him wrong.
One theory can be that Gus is the owner of the synthetic blood substitute drink Tru Blood. If this is the case then yes, Gus will definitely be angry about the death of Ms. Suzuki as well as the tainting of the drink and blowing up of the Tru Blood factory.
Meanwhile it appears that Mr. Gus is not the only villain to arrive in Bon Temps. Gus will have some competition in the form of a mysterious character called, “The Figure.” TV Line reports, “The Figure” is a “scary, hulking, ugly mean and crafty … like Leatherface or Jason Voorhees, but this guy talks.”
HBO recently announced that “True Blood” season seven would air this summer June 22.
