Televisa's new production is a remake of a classic, "Simplemente María." We all remember the one that Victoria Ruffo starred in, but this time it will be Claudia Alvarez in the lead role. The "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" actress beat out other actresses for the part in a very lenghty casting process. Some of those girls were Danna Garcia ("Lo Imperdonable"), Ariadne Diaz ("La Malquerida"), Thelma Madrigal ("La Sombra Del Pasado") and Adriana Louvier ("Yo No Creo En Los Hombres"). Alvarez will be joined by two men that will form a love triangle and they are: Ferdinando Valencia ("Que Te Perdone Dios... Yo No") and José Ron ("Muchacha Italiana Viene A Casarse"). The first promo spots are already airing in México and this telenovela is expected to premiere sometime in 2016 on Univision. Check the videos down below and tell us what you think!
"Simplemente María" is the story of a young humble woman that travels to the big city in search of her dream. She starts work as a maid as she settles in and finds colorful people that will make her life a living hell. Her ultimate goal is to be a fashion designer and she will find fame and fortune once she realizes her dream. The production crew is the same one behind hit soaps like "Un Refugio Para El Amor" and "Por Siempre Mi Amor." Also in the cast we can expect to see familiar faces like: Leticia Perdigón ("La Gata"), Miguel Martinez ("Hasta El Fin Del Mundo"), Erik Diaz ("Que Te Perdone Dios") and Ana Martin ("Amores Verdaderos").
