Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars” is celebrating a first, following four years of Halloween episodes, show runner Marlene King made the decision that instead of the spooky special PLL fans would instead be treated to a Christmas special. The episode which is set to premiere on December 9th is titled “How The ‘A’ Stole Christmas” leaving fans wondering just what yuletide trick Rosewood resident tormenter has in store for the Liars. And while “A” will most certainly wreak havoc on the Christmas celebrations, it seems that there will be at least some happy moments during the season at least for PLL fans favorite couple, Spencer and Toby.
According to an ET Online spoiler report, Spoby will have “some very, very romantic and fun gestures. It will all make fun after people watch the episode.” The description of Spencer and Toby’s Christmas sounds almost too good to be true, mainly due to Spencer’s most recent arrest for the murder of Bethany Young. But despite this run-in with the inept Rosewood PD, Spencer and Toby have had a very good run as a couple ever since recovering from Toby’s brief time as dedicated member of the “A” team, but any good PLL fan knows that good luck normally runs out for Rosewood’s couples. However it seems like Spencer and Toby will at least be able to celebrate the yuletide season together.
But after Christmas Day, it seems that there are issues on the horizon for Spencer and Toby’s seemingly solid relationship. A brand new character is set to arrive in Rosewood, all the way from London. New character Colin is described as charming, handsome and following his time in Britain with Melissa Hastings, he and Spencer will strike up a new friendship throughout Season 5. While we are not yet sure what exactly the nature of Spencer and Colin’s relationship will be on screen, fans learned that the two actors are most certainly are having fun behind the scenes or at least that’s what we are taking away from this Instagram snap posted by Troian Bellisario, who portrays the younger Hasting on “Pretty Little Liars.”
