With the announce of the Premio Lo Nuestro 2015 nominations, a huge battle has emerged. Univision always knows how to create controversy and reasons to tune in to their awards show and next year will mark a fierce fight in the Regional Mexican Female Artist of The Year category. Chiquis and Jenni Rivera both scored a nod and will be vying for the accolade. The daughter of the late "Diva De La Banda" will be competing with her mother that passed away two years ago in a freak accident. Chiquis has already weighed in on social media and said, "It's a great honor to be nominated for the first time for Premio Lo Nuestro, but it's a great honor that I feel to be nominated with my mom." She then added a link for fans to vote for her, giving her an advantage that her mother doesn't have for obvious reasons. VOTE in our poll down below and tell us who you think will take the award!
One of the biggest Latin music awards show of the year just announced their nominations. Univision's Premio Lo Nuestro 2015 is hot with Enrique Iglesias and Romeo Santos leading the pack with most nods wich each of them scoring 10 each. Both of the artists will compete for the top award of the night, Premio Lo Nuestro Artist of The Year. In that same category, Calibre 50 and J Balvin will be hoping to win the accolade and top honor. Iglesias and Santos won't be in competition on all categories as the song they collaborated in scored two nods in the Tropical genre. The sweet "Loco" bachata melody was nominated as Tropical Song Of The Year and Tropical Collaboration Of The Year. The nods for the gala were announced this morning on breakfast show "Despierta América" with various celebs on hand. Alejandra Guzmán, Chiquis, América Sierra, David Bisbal, Laura Pausini, Joey Montana, Luis Coronel and Wisin were among the artists to make the announcements.
