Good news Amazon Fire TV owners who want more gaming options! Playcast Media has announced its cloud gaming app is now in beta for the TV-set top box.
If you do not know what the Playcast Cloud Gaming app is, it basically streams games directly from Amazon's servers to your Fire TV, and as IGN points out has an emphasis on triple-A releases. From a screenshot of the app we could see “Sleeping Dogs” and “Darksiders 2” as playable games. Though no official titles have been confirmed for the Amazon Fire TV app it will carry titles from big publishers like EA, Ubisoft, Konami, Square Enix, Disney and more.
Even more Playcast Media CEO Guy de Beer has said that the app does not only bring console quality gaming to Amazon Fire TV but also offers users a lag-free experience.
"Playcast brings gamers what they really want. Lag-free, console-quality HD, AAA brand name titles,” said de Beer.
So if you are interested in getting your hands on this beta it’s as easy as registering at the Playcast website here. Prices and an official release date has yet to be revealed but it is assumed that the monthly subscription price will mirror that of the European and Asian prices at about $10 to $15.
