Terrence Jenkins and Julianne Hough are confirmed to host the Miss USA 2016 pageant live from Las Vegas. Sin City will be witness to the new queen of beauty when all 52 contestants showcase their talents on the T-Mobile Arena stage. This year, there are only two Latinas competing for the crown, Nadia Mejia from California and Daniella Rodriguez from Texas. The winner of this contest will go on to represent the United States of America in the international competition of Miss Universe, where Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach currently holds the title.
Hough was just announced today as co-host of the gala. "Julianne is an outstanding woman who embodies all that Miss USA celebrates: strong, successful, confident, and generous," said Paula M. Shugart, president of The Miss Universe Organization. "We are thrilled that she has joined us to help shape our evolution both on-air and behind-the-scenes."
"I admire and share The MISS UNIVERSE Organization's commitment to celebrating young women for more than just their physical beauty and I feel fortunate to be a part of encouraging and uplifting them to make a positive difference in the world," said Hough. "I'm also excited to contribute what I've learned in over a decade in front of the camera and behind the scenes as a performer and choreographer on live television to the MISS USA broadcast."
The Miss USA 2016 telecast will also feature Ashley Graham as co-host from backstage, where she will talk to the ladies as they get ready to shine. Musical performances include Backstreet Boys and Chris Young. Judges for the live telecast are Ali Landry, Cystle Stewart, Joe Zee and Laura Brown. Miss USA 2016 beauty pageant will air on Sunday, June 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on the FOX network. Who do you think will win this year?
