Shortly after Lamborghini unveiled its new Aventador V12 supercar, the Italian automaker confirmed that it will add a third model to the lineup in the form of a super-SUV, reminescent of the old LM-002. Now, the raging bull of Sant'Agata Bolognese are rumored to present a fourth model as well in the form of a four-seater concept based on the Aventador supercar.
As far as we remember, a 2+2 mid-engine V12 supercar has never been attempted before, which clearly shows just how radical Lamborghini dares to venture. Should Lamborghini go ahead with its development, a concept car will reportedly be unveiled at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
To better package the new layout, we expect the new four-seater V12 Lamborghini to feature an even longer wheelbase to accomodate the extra set of seats and short rear suicide panels. Beyond speculation, we haven't the slightest of the performance figures or demensions the new Aventador GT would carry but according to Car Magazine, the design should prove to be a little softer edged with a less aggressive wedge shape.
Whether the concept will actually translate into a production model remains to be seen as a 2+2 mid-engine V12 supercar is certainly uncharted territory for the industry. That said, if Lamborghini's new car is well received, we may be looking at the inception of a whole new niche.
