Labor Day is just around the corner. It's a national holiday that celebrates the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country. It also marks the end of summer and the beginning of the fall season. Many hard-working Americans will take advantage of the long weekend to relax, travel or barbecue with friends and families. Others, will spend their day off making a fashion statement!
However, make sure not to wear white ---especially the day after Labor Day. Tradition holds that wearing white after the national holiday becomes a major fashion faux pas. The rule, which was heavily enforced in the 1950s and 1960s, is a big no, no in fashion. Why? Because white, as opposed to other neutral and darker colors, is a color that's typically unsuitable for the fall and winter weather.
But we're here to let you know that you can throw these silly rules out the window and wear your white jeans and pumps the rest of the year! In fact, check out some fashion choices below, which you can find at your favorite stores, such as Target.
