Juanes let the entire world know his Thursday night plans when he announced that he was going to The Rolling Stones concert in Colombia with his spouse Karen Martinez. What he didn't reveal to his fans was that he was going to join the iconic rock band onstage in front of over 45,000 fans at Estadio El Campin in Bogota. Now, we're not sure if Juanes already knew this or if it was a random surprise. What we do know, however, is that the experience was one for the books for the Colombian singer.
The "Camisa Negra" singer joined the English band for their 1978 song "Beast of Burden," becoming the first artist to perform onstage with the guys during their current Latin American Ole Tour. "Someone we love, someone from your country, our 'parcero'... Juanes!," said frontman Mick Jagger to the crowd Thursday night. The band also emphasized how much they love Juanes via a tweet on their official Twitter account. "Our special guest on Beast Of Burden is someone we really love from Colombia - @juanes! #StonesColombia," they expressed.
On that note, Juanes called the experience unforgettable. "I have no words to describe the emotion of sharing a stage with The Rolling Stones, especially in my country. What an honor to have them play here in Colombia and to have the opportunity to join them. It has been a night I will never forget," he said to Latin Times via a statement. Check out the tweets below, even compatriot Carlos Vives had something to say of his colleague's big night!
