Edith González is returning to Telemundo after starring in "Doña Bárbara" for the Spanish-language network in 2008. The Mexican soap star will now be leading the cast of "Eva La Trailera" and will share the screen with heartthrobs Jorge Luis Pila ("La Patrona") and Arap Bethke ("Señora Acero"). Edith will be playing Eva Soler a woman of imposing beauty who has worked hard to support her family as a truck driver, a trade she learned early on the road with her father, who made his living the same way. Through ambition and perseverance, she rises through the ranks to become the owner of the “Mon-sol” trucking empire. Despite her newfound wealth, Eva remains a humble person who understands that life is like an endless road that asks us to make constant decisions about the right direction to take. It is this understanding that will help her face life’s most difficult challenges.
Pila will co-star playing Armando Montes, Eva Soler’s husband, whose friendly façade hides a selfish and vain man with a violent nature who ends up causing great harm to his family. He finds a rival for Eva’s love in Pablo Contreras (Bethke), a responsible young detective with strong moral values who brings a new sense of hope to Eva’s life. Joining the cast are Erika de la Rosa ("El Señor De Los Cielos 2"), Vanessa Bauche ("Amores Perros"), Javier Díaz Dueñas ("Los Miserables"), Henry Zakka ("Una Maid En Manhattan"), Roberto Mateos ("Santa Diabla"), Alfredo Huereca ("Cosita Linda"), Karen Sentíes ("En Otra Piel"), Mónica Sánchez Navarro ("Simplemente María 2015") and María Raquenel ("Rica Famosa Latina")
The cast of "Eva La Trailera" will also be joined by Sofía Lama, Antonio Gaona, Minnie West, Martha Mijares, Paloma Márquez, Ana Osorio, Jonathan Freudman, Jorge Eduardo García, Nicolle Apollonio, Michelle Vargas, Adrián Carvajal, Tony Vela and Gustavo Pedraza. This original production is written by Valentina Párraga who has made hits for the network like "La Patrona" and "Los Miserables." Production is by Martha Godoy ("La Patrona"), with supervision by Joshua Mintz, while the direction of the soap will be done by Leonardo Galavis ("¿Dónde Está Elisa?") and Nicolás Di Blasi ("Bajo El Mismo Cielo").
