The Cooking Channel celebrity mixologist, Darryl Robinson, was found dead today, Wednesday, Feb. 5 at his Brooklyn apartment, according to reports from the Daily News. The “Ultimate Cocktail Specialist,” and host of the show “Drink Up” was found unresponsive in his bedroom shortly after midnight, when a friend couldn’t reach him, got worried and called the police.
The 50-year-old Long Island native also had his own mixology business, DR Mixologist. “A lot of mixologists like to infuse things, but I want to be accessible. I’d rather you feel comfortable and ask a question and know that the answer isn’t that complicated,” he had told the Daily News in a 2012 interview.
Law enforcement sources said his body had no signs of trauma and no drugs were found in his apartment. His death in under investigation and no official cause has been released.
