Last January, Netflix announced it was releasing its first ever Spanish-language original series “Club de Cuervos” and after the August 7 release of its first season, the streaming platform is confirming the show will come back for another round. The 13-episode show (until now) by Alazraki Entertainment, directed by Gaz Alazraki, centers on a family feud among heirs of a soccer club after the owner’s death. Its first run offered a satirical and highly entertaining look into the world of professional football, and will most likely continue doing so in the next episodes.
The cast in the series’ first season included Luis Gerardo Méndez who teamed up with Alazraki previously on “Nosotros los Nobles,” as the lead, plus Mariana Treviño ("Una Última y Nos Vamos”, “Amor de Mis Amores”), Stephanie Cayo (“La Hipocondríaca”), Daniel Giménez Cacho (“La Zona” “Arráncame la Vida”, “Voces Inocentes”, “La Mala Educación”), Antonio de la Vega (“La Mentira”), Ianis Guerrero (“Nosotros los Nobles”), Jesús Zavala (“Malaventura”), Verónica Terán (“En el Tiempo de las Mariposas”), Emilio Guerrero (“Matando Cabos” “Capadocia” “Bajo la Sal”), Eileen Yáñez (“Capadocia”), Carlos Bardem (“La Zona”), Oscar Olivares (“Capadocia”), Sofía Sisniega (“Gossip Girl: Acapulco”) and Sofía Niño de Rivera (stand up comedian), among others.
The show's second season is set to be released during the course of 2016, yet no exact date or cast members have been confirmed.
