Larissa tells Carrie that he doesn't have his story by the end of the day she would be forced to fire him. Our beloved writer cares for her friend and writes a piece under his name and turns it on to her bosses delight. When Bennet comes back to the office he seems ungrateful and takes all the credit for Carrie's work, which prompts Carrie to take a job that he was assigned to, knowing that he would have not attended. Larissa finds out Carrie wrote the piece and fires Bennet, he retaliates and tells her she is a bad friend for going behind his back.
Episode 10, "Date Expectations," tackled the AIDS epidemic of the 80s. The epidemic proves to be too much for Walt to handle and calls her mother and asks her if she can go back home. Sebastian (Austin Butler) gets an exciting work opportunity, causing him to bail on Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) on Valentine’s Day. Carrie feels that Sebastian's clothing line targeting skaters is not going to go anywhere. When Maggie (Katie Findlay) accidentally enlists in the army, Donna LaDonna and Mouse come to her rescue.
