The latest "Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" prequel anime is slated to finally arrive next month. What's more, two live-action "Attack On Titan" movies will hit theaters starting next year as well. However, what diehard "Attack on Titan" fans are truly waiting for is the long-awaited return of the main "Attack on Titan" anime. Earlier this year, a hoax report claimed "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would return on July 26. Wit Studios announced that "Attack on Titan" production would not begin until Volume 14 and Volume 15 of the manga. The "Attack on Titan" Volume 15 manga is slated to arrive on Dec. 9.
During early October, Hallels reported that the production of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is already underway. However, sources have yet to reveal the long-awaited "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date. Finally, the anime's Season 2 release date was finally announced during the premiere of the first "Attack on Tita: Crimson Bow and Arrow" compilation movie. According to Mantanweb, actors Yūki Kaji (Eren), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), Marina Inoue (Armin), and director Tetsuro Araki announced that the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 release date is in 2016. Despite Hallel's claim that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 development started early, it looks like the anime will not return in 2015 after all.
During the "Attack on Titan" panel, the team also announced that the second compilation "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom" movie is slated to arrive in thaters on June 27, 2015. Stay tuned as we learn more about future "Attack on Titan" projects in the months ahead. Expect an official confirmation on the upcoming "Attack on Titan" Season 2 to come soon.
