SEATTLE - In the latest memorable night in the history of the European Cup, Real Madrid did what Real Madrid do and completed a comeback to reach their 18th final in the competition.

In what seemed to be a Bayern win thanks to a 68th minute goal by Canadian-born Alphonso Davies, Real Madrid came back from the dead to score two goals in a three-minute span to seal their ticket to Wembley.

The hero of the night was none other than Spanish striker Joselu, who signed for Real Madrid in the Summer of 2023. Coming off the bench in the 81st minute, Joselu scored the first of his two goals seven minutes later to tie the game 3-3 on aggregate. Three minutes later, the Spaniard set the entire stadium alive with a close-ranged finish.

A super sub like no other, Joselu became the third player in UEFA Champions League history to score two goals off the bench in a semifinal game, joining Georginio Wijnaldum in 2019 and his teammate Rodrygo in 2022.

With the win, Real Madrid has now eliminated Bayern Munich four times in the European Cup/UCL semifinals.

Real Madrid advances to yet another Champions League final, their sixth in the last 11 seasons. Since losing the 1981 final against Liverpool, 'Los Blancos' have won each of their last eight appearances in the final.

Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund on June 1 at Wembley Stadium. The last time both clubs faced each other in a KO tie was in 2013-14, with the 'Merengues' eliminating Dortmund in the quarterfinals.
